Karli Corey Obituary, Death; – A 32-year-old woman from Round Lake, identified as Karli Corey, was discovered deceased in a townhome following a fire that occurred on Tuesday night. Initial autopsy findings indicate that Corey succumbed to injuries consistent with inhaling combustion byproducts, as reported by the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
The fire erupted around 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday in a townhome located in the 1400 block of Remington Lane. Corey was located on the second floor and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigations into the fire are being conducted by local fire officials in conjunction with the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
