Julio Estrada Obituary, Death; – Omaha police have identified the individual who lost his life in a hit-and-run incident earlier this month as a 41-year-old man. The incident occurred on October 15 near the intersection of Riverfront and Abbott drives.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered an injured man who was subsequently transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center while CPR was being administered, according to Omaha police.
The man, recognized as Julio Estrada, was later pronounced dead at the hospital, as reported by authorities. Investigators revealed that Estrada was positioned in the right eastbound lane of Abbott Drive when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle that subsequently fled the scene, according to Omaha police.
Authorities indicated that they have been unable to locate or inform Estrada’s next of kin. Officers identified the vehicle involved as a blue 2005 Pontiac Vibe, which was driven by Christopher Renteria-Avila. Renteria-Avila has been arrested for leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in personal injury and death.
