Job Martinez,Scott Kikes Obituary, Death; – The Phoenix Police Department has disclosed the identities of two motorcyclists who lost their lives in a tumultuous shooting that culminated in a crash near downtown Phoenix on Friday night.

Shortly before 11 p.m., emergency responders hurried to 7th Avenue, just off Interstate 17, following reports of a shooting. Investigators indicated that the motorcyclists were halted at a red light when a confrontation ensued.

According to investigators, the two bikers, named Job Martinez, 53, and Scott Kikes, 36, were stationary at a red light when they began to engage in a fight. Shortly thereafter, Martinez allegedly shot Kikes multiple times, as reported by the police.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the initial altercation.
A third individual, who witnessed the shooting, reportedly collided with Martinez using his vehicle. That driver was taken into custody for questioning but was subsequently released.

Kikes and Martinez were transported to a hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.

Prosecutors will decide whether the unnamed driver will face charges related to his involvement once the investigation concludes.
