Jillian Reynoso,Christopher Stainbrook Obituary, Death; – A woman from Hemet and her passenger from San Jacinto were identified the day following their tragic deaths in a dramatic accident on the Pomona (60) Freeway, where their vehicle careened down an embankment into a parking lot.

The Coroner’s Bureau of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol reported that Jillian Reynoso, 41, from Hemet, and Christopher Stainbrook, 40, from Jurupa Valley, suffered fatal injuries shortly before 5 a.m. on Monday on the eastbound 60 at Country Village Road.

Officer Javier Navarro stated that Reynoso was driving a sedan at an unspecified speed when it struck the divider, bouncing off the concrete barrier and resulting in Stainbrook being ejected into the eastbound lanes.

The vehicle continued across all lanes and descended a shallow embankment before sliding into a business parking lot located at 3810 Wabash Drive, where it collided with an unoccupied parked box truck, according to Navarro.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Paramedics from the Riverside County Fire Department arrived at the scene within minutes and pronounced Stainbrook dead at the freeway. They discovered Reynoso deceased in her vehicle, as reported by the CHP.

All eastbound lanes were closed for approximately two hours while a preliminary investigation took place. Autopsies for both victims were pending as of Tuesday. It remains unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Riverside CHP office at 951-324-7210.
