Augustin Martinez Obituary, Death; – Authorities are attempting to identify a suspect in the murder of a man discovered near the California Aqueduct in San Bernardino County over the weekend.
Deputies responded to a medical aid request after an unresponsive man was located on Muscatel Street in Hesperia just prior to 6:15 a.m. on Sunday.
The deceased individual, recognized as 40-year-old Augustin Martinez, was found along the trail adjacent to the California Aqueduct, as reported by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on Monday.
No additional information regarding Martinez’s death has been disclosed; however, the incident has been classified as a murder by the sheriff’s department, which has assigned its homicide unit to the case.
“The suspect has not yet been identified, and the investigation remains active,” stated the sheriff’s department.
