Jess Harold Dean Pinkerton Obituary, Death; – The motorcyclist who lost his life in a collision on Sunday afternoon, approximately six miles south of Spearfish, has been named. According to the Department of Public Safety, 46-year-old Jess Harold Dean Pinkerton, a resident of Belle Fourche, was heading north on US Highway 14A near mile marker 17 when he veered off the road and fell over the embankment into the creek. As a result of the incident, Pinkerton was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries. The circumstances surrounding the crash are currently under investigation, with the South Dakota Highway Patrol leading the inquiry.
