Jamariyee Dixon Obituary, Death; – Following a death associated with this case, it has now been classified as a homicide. The individual identified as the victim is Jamariyee Dixon, aged 16. On May 27, Mr. Dixon was declared deceased by the medical personnel at Atrium Health.
Due to the ongoing investigation, detectives from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified Marion McKnight, aged 20, as a suspect and have secured a warrant for his arrest.
He was taken to the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) for an interview with detectives. After the interview, Mr. McKnight was placed in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Mr. McKnight faces charges of Murder.
The next of kin of Mr. Dixon has been informed of his passing and the subsequent arrest of Mr. McKnight.
