Jamarcus F. Walker,Dennis Harris Obituary – A second individual has been declared brain dead following a double shooting that occurred earlier this week in Peoria.
Jamarcus F. Walker, aged 31, from Port Gibson, Mississippi, was critically injured by gunfire and transported from the scene on Wednesday night, as reported by Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood. Walker was pronounced brain dead on Friday afternoon, according to Harwood.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place after the procurement of organs. Dennis Harris, aged 30, residing on West Ridge Road in Peoria, was found deceased at the scene on Wednesday night following the incident.
Peoria police arrived at the 900 block of West Johnson Street at approximately 8:22 p.m. on Wednesday in response to reports of six gunshots. Both Walker and Harris were discovered with gunshot wounds.
