Jairus Gayden Obituary, Death; – A teenager who was fatally shot in Little Woods on Wednesday has been identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office as of Friday morning.
On Wednesday afternoon, officers from the New Orleans Police Department responded to what was initially reported as a medical emergency at an apartment complex located in the 11900 block of Hayne Boulevard. Paramedics declared 18-year-old Jairus Gayden deceased at the scene.
The cause of death was not determined at the time of the incident. However, following a thorough investigation, police confirmed that Gayden succumbed to at least one gunshot wound.
