J T Schroeder Obituary, Death; – An 18-year-old lost his life after allegedly kicking another individual’s shopping cart.
Delano Middleton, aged 48, has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of the 18-year-old, who has been identified by WJCL as J.T. Schroeder, during an altercation that occurred on October 23, as reported by the Chatham County Police Department.
According to police, Schroeder succumbed to his injuries on Monday, October 27. WJCL has reported that the police stated the confrontation initiated when a man was exiting the store with a shopping cart, and Schroeder kicked it as he walked by.
Schroeder’s father conveyed to WJCL that his son “was never, ever confrontational unless he was confronted first,” asserting that the police account of the incident does not provide the complete narrative.
Middleton has been taken to the Chatham County Detention Center. WJCL has reported that he possesses a criminal record, which includes previous arrests for aggravated assault, battery, and weapons charges in 2021 and 2023.
