Elijah Harts,Anthony Mora Obituary, Death; – Detectives from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau have reported that no arrests have been made in connection with a shooting on Halloween night that resulted in the deaths of two individuals.
Officials from the Homicide Bureau have identified the deceased as Elijah Harts, a 30-year-old man from Encino, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene, and Anthony Mora, a 27-year-old resident of Newhall.
Lieutenant Michael Modica of the Homicide Bureau stated that the investigative team has several promising leads, describing the case as a very active investigation, while noting that no suspects have been identified thus far.
Currently, detectives suspect that a fight erupted at the party, and an attendee contacted a relative for a ride home, as per Modica’s account.
Modica mentioned that he was unaware of any further altercation when Harts arrived, which coincided with the timing of the shooting.
Harts was the relative who had been called for assistance, according to Modica. It remains unclear whether Harts and Mora were acquainted, but Mora was a bystander who happened to be near Harts at the time of the shooting.
Personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department received a call regarding a medical emergency at that location at 11:14 p.m., as indicated by the PulsePoint dispatch application. A battalion chief, an engine, and three paramedic squads responded and were cleared from the scene in just under an hour.
Mora was declared deceased at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital after receiving medical treatment, according to officials from the Sheriff’s Department.
