Haneef McKnight Obituary, Death; – Connecticut State Police have identified a truck driver who was tragically struck and killed in a road rage incident this week as a 28-year-old man from Philadelphia.
According to state police, Haneef McKnight, a resident of Philadelphia, lost his life after being hit by a box truck on Interstate 84 on Tuesday afternoon.
Troopers responded to a call regarding a road rage incident on I-84 east just before Exit 44 at approximately 3:16 p.m. on Tuesday. The investigation revealed that the collision involved two vehicles: a tractor-trailer in the right lane and a box truck in the center lane.
“In the midst of heavy traffic, one of the drivers exited their vehicle, crossed the highway, climbed onto the box truck, and a confrontation occurred,” police stated in a report released on Wednesday.
During this confrontation, state police reported that McKnight was fatally struck by the box truck, as detailed in the report.
