Gleymar Vidal-Montes Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified the 33-year-old woman who lost her life in a wrong-way collision that resulted in injuries to two individuals earlier this week on Interstate 285 west. The tragic incident occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, close to Ashford Dunwoody Road.

According to Dunwoody Police, Gleymar Vidal-Montes, a resident of Cumming, was fatally injured when a white Scion, traveling west on I-285 and changing lanes, collided head-on with a red F-250 that was entering the interstate from Ashford Dunwoody. The collision transpired at the base of the entrance ramp, leaving both the driver and Vidal-Montes trapped inside the vehicle, as reported by the police.

Fire personnel from DeKalb County successfully extricated them; however, Vidal-Montes was pronounced dead at the scene. She was a passenger in the Scion. The driver of the Scion was transported to North Fulton Hospital in stable condition, while the driver of the F-250 sustained non-life-threatening injuries and did not require hospitalization. It remains unclear whether any charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
