Fernando Ortiz Obituary, Death; – The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of a motorcycle crash Saturday night. The coroner identified the victim as 30-year-old Fernando Ortiz from Spartanburg.
The coroner’s office was called to the eastbound side of John B. White Sr. Boulevard, according to officials. The coroner reports Ortiz hit a power-phone wire pole after losing control in a curve and was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:13 p.m.
The Spartanburg Police Department is investigating the crash.
