Emilio Vazquez Obituary, Death; – The Spokane County Medical Examiner has identified the second victim in a deadly shooting that left two men dead and a third critically injured in the Glenrose neighborhood.

Emilio Vazquez, 20, died from multiple gunshot wounds in what the medical examiner ruled a homicide, according to information released Monday.

Vazquez joins Terrance Wallette, 37, who was previously identified as the other fatality in the Sept. 24 shooting. Wallette also died from multiple gunshot wounds in what was ruled a homicide.

The shooting occurred around 8:45 p.m. Sept. 24 near the intersection of 34th Avenue and Havana Street, just blocks from Chase Middle School.

Police said all three people involved in the shooting knew each other, though investigators continue working to determine their relationship and what led to the violence.

The third victim remains in critical condition, though police have not released additional details about their identity or current status.

The shooting has shaken the Glenrose neighborhood, located in east Spokane. The area near Chase Middle School is typically quiet, making the violent incident particularly jarring for residents.
Spokane police detectives are actively investigating the case and have not announced any arrests. The department has not released information about potential suspects or whether they believe the shooter remains at large.

Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to contact Spokane police or Crime Stoppers.
