Destiny Dunn Obituary, Death; – A woman who was tragically shot and killed following a second-line parade in Central City on Sunday evening has been identified as 26-year-old Destiny Dunn, as confirmed by the coroner on Tuesday.
According to police reports, the shooting occurred in the 2700 block of Magnolia Street shortly after the parade had passed through the vicinity.
Police stated that officers present at the event heard gunfire and discovered Dunn injured. She was transported to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter. Approximately one hour later, authorities located two additional victims, a 16-year-old boy and a 29-year-old man, both suffering from gunshot wounds. They were also taken to the hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition.
As of the time of this report, no arrests have been made. The New Orleans Police Department is urging anyone who may possess video footage of the incident or the surrounding area to submit it to Crimestoppers at www.crimestoppersgno.org.
