Dawn Ingrid Triplat,Richard Headrick Obituary, Death;- The identities of the three individuals who lost their lives in the tragic accident on Interstate 70 on Tuesday have been disclosed by the Garfield County Coroner’s Office in a news release issued on Thursday.
The incident, which resulted in the closure of I-70 Westbound for more than five hours, took place at around 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning, just east of New Castle at mile marker 106. It is believed that all three victims succumbed to blunt force trauma.
The individuals who passed away have been identified as 84-year-old Dawn Ingrid Triplat, a female resident of New Castle; and 81-year-old Richard Headrick and 79-year-old Teddy-Jo Headrick, both male and female residents of Highland, Utah, respectively.
“The inquiry into the factors surrounding the two-vehicle collision that led to three fatalities is still ongoing, being conducted by the Colorado State Patrol. For further details regarding the investigation of the crash, please reach out to the Colorado State Patrol,” stated Garfield County Coroner Robert M. Glassmire in the release.
