Dangelo Rayjvon Murphy Obituary, Death; – Gulfport police are conducting an investigation following the death of a man during an alleged home invasion.
According to The Sun Herald, the incident occurred in the 1700 block of 21st Street on December 11, 2025.
Authorities reported that a man entered the premises armed with a hammer and a knife, subsequently attacking two women. It was noted that one woman sustained injuries from the knife, while the other woman managed to retrieve a firearm and shot the assailant.
Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer has identified the deceased as Dangelo Rayjvon Murphy, aged 29. Law enforcement indicated that Murphy was out on bond at the time of the home invasion, having been charged with the alleged kidnapping of one of the women.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
