Caysee Rebolloso Obituary, Death; – The individual, identified by law enforcement as having stolen a vehicle in Layton, has passed away following a collision with two other cars while attempting to evade police on Thursday. Officials have confirmed that the deceased is 35-year-old Caysee Rebolloso from Salt Lake City.
As reported by the Taylorsville Police Department, the incident commenced at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday when officers from Taylorsville discovered a stolen car originating from Layton. Officers made an effort to halt the vehicle, but the driver chose to flee the scene.
Rather than pursuing the vehicle, officers opted to have a Department of Public Safety helicopter track its movements. Subsequently, police deployed tire deflation devices along 500 West in an attempt to bring the vehicle to a stop.
After the driver struck the deflation devices, she continued driving north until she collided with two other vehicles at the intersection of 4800 South and 500 West.
Rebolloso was transported to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries. A passenger in the second vehicle was also taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The driver of the third vehicle was taken to the hospital by a family member for assessment.
The incident is currently under investigation, with the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Team spearheading the inquiry.
