Bryan Burris Obituary, Death; – A 43-year-old man has died following a car accident in Hancock County.
The Indiana State Police (ISP) Indianapolis District reported that they responded to a serious collision on U.S. 40 near the intersection with County Road 600 East, just east of Greenfield, at approximately 1 p.m. on Monday, January 19.
Upon arrival, first responders observed two “heavily damaged” vehicles and found an unresponsive man — later identified as Bryan Burris, 43, from New Palestine — inside one of the vehicles. Burris was declared dead at the scene.
The second vehicle contained an adult and two children; however, ISP indicated that none of them sustained serious injuries.
Initial investigations suggest that Burris was operating a 2003 Honda traveling south on 600 East.
According to ISP, Burris failed to stop at the stop sign on U.S. 40 and collided with the side of a westbound Ford F250. Following the impact, Burris’ vehicle rolled over.
The details surrounding this accident are still being investigated.
ISP received assistance from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Greenfield Police Department, Carthage Fire Department, Greenfield Fire Department, and the Hancock County Coroner’s Office.
