Angel Gonzalez Obituary, Death; – A 70-year-old man was discovered deceased in Mead Valley, located outside of Perris, and his son has been arrested on suspicion of his murder, authorities reported on Monday.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Perris Station were called at 4:14 a.m. on Sunday to the 20000 block of Clark Street to investigate an unresponsive male, as stated by Sheriff’s Sgt. Alberto Loureiro.
“Upon their arrival, deputies found the male and attempted lifesaving measures; however, the individual, later identified as Angel Gonzalez, a 70-year-old resident of Mead Valley, was pronounced dead at the scene,” Loureiro noted.
“During the course of the investigation, Gonzalez’s son, Juan Gonzalez, a 47-year-old resident of Mead Valley, was identified as the suspect,” Loureiro added. “Gonzalez was subsequently taken into custody and booked at Cois Byrd Detention Center on charges of murder.”
According to the sheriff’s inmate records, Gonzalez’s bail has been set at $1 million. The investigation remains ongoing, he further stated.
