Andrew Borchers Obituary, Death; – A truck towing a trailer and boat overturned on Louisiana Highway 153, resulting in the death of the 39-year-old driver.
On October 30, at 6:20 p.m., Louisiana State Police were dispatched to the scene of an accident on Louisiana Highway 153, close to Foster Arbor Road. Upon their arrival, officers discovered that a 2002 Dodge truck, operated by Andrew Borchers, 39, from Lexington, North Carolina, was heading south on LA Highway 153 while towing a boat and trailer when the incident took place.
For reasons yet to be determined, Borchers’ vehicle veered off the road and flipped over. The trailer and boat separated from the truck and struck a parked vehicle that was occupied. Borchers, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the truck during the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the parked vehicle sustained no injuries.
Louisiana State Police have indicated that they suspect Borchers may have been impaired at the time of the crash. Toxicology samples have been collected and sent for analysis. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
