Alex Hernandez Obituary, Death; – A man from Smyrna has died, and a suspect is currently in custody following a stabbing incident that occurred early Sunday at a mobile home park in Marietta, according to Cobb County police.

Officers were dispatched to Eden Gate Mobile Home Park located at 254 Clay Drive at approximately 1:34 a.m. on February 22, after a 911 caller reported a stabbing. Upon their arrival, officers discovered an adult male on the ground near one of the mobile homes, suffering from a stab wound.

Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services rendered medical assistance before the victim was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Alex Hernandez from Smyrna.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit have identified the suspect as 31-year-old Pedro Martinez. He has been charged with homicide and aggravated assault and has been booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
