Adam Makowka Arrested; – A 27-year-old man from South Whitehall Township is in custody and facing charges of homicide and related offenses following a fatal shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning, as stated in a news release by investigators.

According to the release from Allentown police, Adam Makowka shot and killed a woman at a residence located in the 700 block of West Turner Street in Allentown. Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio has identified the deceased woman as being 22 years old. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.

Buglio indicated that he has classified the death as a homicide resulting from gunshot wounds, although he has not yet disclosed the victim’s name. The shooting took place around 4:15 a.m. on Tuesday, as reported in a news release from the coroner’s office.

Authorities apprehended Makowka on Tuesday morning in Lansdowne, Delaware County, and he is set to be extradited to Lehigh County, according to Allentown police.

Investigators have not yet provided information regarding the motive behind the shooting, and police have refrained from commenting beyond the details included in their news release.

Makowka did not respond to a call made to a number associated with his name, and there was no attorney immediately listed for him in his online court records.

Makowka, residing on the 3000 block of Congress Street, is scheduled to be arraigned on charges of criminal homicide, attempted homicide, and two counts of aggravated assault, as per police and court documents.
