Basir Rashid Obituary, Death; – The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identity of the crash victim as 40-year-old Basir Rashid, a resident of Brooklyn.
Rashid succumbed to his injuries after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Morgan Road. A man is currently in critical condition at Upstate Hospital following a collision with a car in the Town of Clay on Saturday, November 9.
At approximately 6:50 p.m., deputies from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle on Morgan Road, near the Amazon Warehouse. According to the deputies, the man was crossing the street from the bus stop located on the east side of the road when he was struck by a southbound vehicle.
Morgan Road is anticipated to remain closed from the Liverpool Bypass to Steelway Boulevard South until around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
