Macy Piersiak Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of a driver who lost her life in a collision in Vermont as a teenager from Massachusetts.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. on Sunday in Shrewsbury, Vermont. According to the Vermont State Police, 17-year-old Macy Piersiak from Needham, Massachusetts, was traveling south on Cold River Road when she crossed the center line, struck a guardrail, and subsequently collided with a tree.
Piersiak was pronounced dead at the scene, and law enforcement reported that she was the sole occupant of the pickup truck. She was a senior at Kimball Union Academy, and Head of School Tyler Lewis issued a statement expressing the profound impact of her loss on the community, noting, “We all know how much Macy loved KUA – and the love for Macy throughout our community is part of what makes this news so incredibly difficult.”
