Eric Johnson Obituary, Death; – The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who lost his life on December 26 in a collision between a vehicle and an electric scooter in Santa Rosa as Eric Johnson, aged 61, from Rohnert Park.
At approximately 8:11 a.m., Johnson was riding a motorized scooter when he was hit by a Chevrolet Tahoe at the intersection of Santa Rosa Avenue and El Portal Way, as reported by Santa Rosa police.
Following the incident, police closed Santa Rosa Avenue at El Portal Way for around four hours on Friday.
Johnson was declared dead at the scene. Authorities indicated on Friday that he did not seem to be wearing a helmet while operating the scooter.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
