Uribe Enedino Obituary, Death; – A man died and two other people were critically injured after a crash in Catawba County on Sunday evening.
The Nov. 30 wreck happened just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday along 12th Avenue Drive in Hickory.
North Carolina state troopers said the man — 68-year-old Uribe Enedino — was driving a 2019 Honda Civic when he experienced some type of medical condition that caused him to lose control of the car.
Enedino’s car went through a stop sign and crashed into a parked vehicle, then a utility pole. Enedino died there, while his two passengers — aged 21 and 28 years old — were taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
The area where the deadly crash happened is about half a mile off Highway 321.
