Gale Alleman,Bethany Aicken Obituary, Death; – A medical helicopter en route to retrieve a patient collided with a wire and subsequently crashed in Kentucky, resulting in the fatalities of its three crew members, according to authorities.
The Kentucky State Police announced in a news release that the incident occurred on the evening of October 7 in Owenton, close to state Highway 22. The victims have been identified as Gale Alleman, Bethany Aicken, and James Welsh.
A preliminary report from the Federal Aviation Administration, which was made available online, indicated that the helicopter struck a guy wire near the ground, leading to the crash and subsequent fire. The aircraft was in the process of heading to a patient pickup.
Authorities stated that they are conducting a death investigation, while the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash. An investigator from the NTSB has already arrived at the scene.
