Johnny Galliher Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the pedestrian who was tragically killed while attempting to cross Clayton Boulevard (U.S. Highway 70 Business) last week.
Johnny Galliher, a 79-year-old resident of Clayton, was struck by a Toyota SUV at approximately 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8, near the junction of Clayton Boulevard and Enterprise Drive.
As reported by the Clayton Police Department, Galliher had just exited the Dunkin’ Donuts situated on Enterprise Drive and was in the process of crossing the heavily trafficked road. He managed to navigate across the westbound lanes and reached the median, but was unfortunately hit by the SUV while trying to cross the eastbound lanes.
The eastbound lanes were closed for about three hours to facilitate the investigation of the collision.
