Rachel Branham Obituary, Death; – A woman who was killed in a shooting incident over the weekend in the Midlands has been identified.

Richland County Coroner Nadia Rutherford confirmed that 37-year-old Rachel Branham, from Irmo, was shot early Sunday morning on Forest Walk Court.

A suspect, identified as 65-year-old Keith Bagley, was apprehended after deputies from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the scene at approximately 1:15 a.m.
A second victim of gunfire was also discovered in the vicinity, and deputies later determined that Bagley remained at the scene. According to RCSD, Bagley was subsequently located on the front porch of a residence, consuming a beer when deputies approached him.

While Bagley was being taken into custody, RCSD reported that Branham was found lying face down and unresponsive in the doorway. She was declared dead at the scene.

The second victim was transported to a hospital for medical care.

RCSD indicated that it is believed that Bagley, Branham, and the second victim were all acquainted with one another.
Bagley has been arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder, and two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

He has been booked at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
