Pedro Chavaz Obituary, Death; – Bridgeton police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident from Sept. 13.
Authorities responded to the area of East Broad Street and James D. Edwards Sr. Way at approximately 9:25 p.m. Sept. 13 following a report of a person lying on the roadway’s shoulder, according to a press release from police.
The individual was identified as 58-year-old Pedro Chavaz of Bridgeton.
Chavaz was pronounced dead at the scene. He’d been found with “serious head and facial injuries,” the release said.
