Drake Patton,Wyatt Bryden Patton Obituary, Death; – The individuals who tragically passed away, consisting of a woman and her two children, were recovered from Lake Michigan on Saturday in the South Side region and have now been identified.
The deceased have been identified as Drake Patton, a 31-year-old woman from Skokie, along with her 6-year-old son, Wyatt Bryden Patton, and her 1-year-old daughter, Jream Jaycee Washington, who lived in Matteson, as reported by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
At around 11:20 a.m. on Saturday, authorities retrieved Jream from the lake at 57th Street Beach in Hyde Park, according to police reports. Three hours later, both Patton and Wyatt were found in the lake near 63rd Street Beach in Jackson Park, where they were declared dead at the scene.
Law enforcement officials suggest that the deaths appear to be connected and may be linked to domestic issues.
The medical examiner’s office has indicated that the autopsies performed to determine the cause and manner of death were inconclusive and are pending further tests.
Investigations are currently being conducted by Area 1 detectives.
