Craig Trujillo Obituary, Death; – A 27-year-old man from Hesperia, identified as Craig Trujillo, tragically lost his life when his pickup truck veered off the 15 Freeway at Cajon Pass on Wednesday. According to records from the San Bernardino County coroner, the incident occurred around 11 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway, just north of Highway 138.
Trujillo was driving a Toyota pickup truck when, for reasons yet to be determined, he lost control and swerved left towards the guardrail, as reported by the California Highway Patrol in an official statement. The vehicle subsequently went over the guardrail and rolled over several times, resulting in the driver being ejected from the truck.
Trujillo succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. In response to the incident, two lanes of the southbound 15 Freeway remained closed for several hours to facilitate the investigation and necessary repairs to the guardrail. Authorities are continuing their investigation and are urging anyone with relevant information to reach out to the CHP’s San Bernardino Area Office at (909) 383-4247.
