Robert Proctor Obituary, Death; – A driver of a pickup truck lost his life in a collision with a semi-trailer in Yellow Medicine County on Thursday.
According to local authorities, the incident was reported shortly after 4 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 8 and 250th Avenue. The accident occurred when the operator of a Ford F-150 failed to yield at the intersection.
The Ford F-150 was impacted by a 2010 Peterbilt semi-truck that was towing a loaded gravel trailer. Both vehicles subsequently ended up in the ditch located to the southwest of the intersection.
The driver of the Ford, identified as 60-year-old Robert Proctor from Cottonwood, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was transported to Avera Granite Falls Hospital by a private individual after sustaining injuries that were not life-threatening.
