Zackery Melton Obituary, Death; – A 28-year-old man who was fatally shot at a dog park in Venice has been identified as of Thursday.
Officers from the Pacific Division of the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the Westminster Dog Park, located at 1234 Pacific Ave., between Westminster Avenue and Main Street, at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday. They discovered a man with gunshot wounds in the parking lot, as reported by Officer Rosario Cervantes to City News Service.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. On Monday, the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner identified him as Zackery Melton. Police continued their investigation at the scene into the early hours of Thursday, conducting interviews with witnesses and searching for evidence related to the shooting.
