William Rance Bill Obituary, Death; – A driver died and a passenger was injured after a crash south of Mesquite, police said.
Nevada State Police said the crash occurred on Interstate 15 near mile marker 106, about 11 miles south of Mesquite, on July 31 at about 6:45 a.m. Law enforcement officials said a sedan collided with a construction vehicle parked on the shoulder of the road in a construction zone with warning lights activated.
The sedan driver, identified as William Rance Bill, 22, of St. George, Utah, died at the scene. An unidentified passenger from the sedan was taken to a local hospital. The passenger’s injuries were not disclosed. The crash is the 37th fatal crash of 2025 for the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol’s Southern Command, resulting in 38 deaths, officials said.
