William Huertas Obituary, Death; – A Haverstraw pedestrian was killed Saturday, Dec. 13, after a vehicle crashed on Route 303 in Orangeburg.
Orangetown police said officers responded to the scene of a vehicle collision with a pedestrian around 252 Route 303, near the Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru dealership, at approximately 9:05 p.m.
Police said the pedestrian, identified as William Huertas, 45, of Haverstraw, sustained serious injuries at the scene. South Orangetown Ambulance Corps and Rockland Paramedics attempted life-saving measures at the scene and transported Huertas to Montefiore Nyack Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation as of Sunday afternoon, according to Orangetown Police. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has any further information is asked to call Orangetown Police at 845-359-3700.
