Victor Ekozeme Obituary, Death; – A suspect is evading authorities following a fatal shooting incident in Manor. On Friday, law enforcement in Austin responded to reports of gunfire directed at a vehicle in the vicinity of Wildhorse Ranch Trail, close to State Highway 130.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a car in a ditch and two individuals suffering from gunshot injuries. Authorities confirmed that 19-year-old Victor Ekozeme was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victim was transported to a hospital and subsequently released the same day.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Ekozeme and another individual had arrived at a nearby apartment complex when an assailant began firing into their vehicle, striking Ekozeme and another occupant.

Following the gunfire, Ekozeme attempted to flee the scene but lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a crash into a ditch. The perpetrators escaped in a separate vehicle and remain at large. Police believe that Ekozeme and his passenger may have been specifically targeted in this incident, which they regard as isolated.

Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the shooting to reach out to the Austin police tipline at 512-974-TIPS. The investigation into Ekozeme’s death marks the city’s fourth homicide of 2025.
