Ursolo Frank Sermeno Obituary, Death; – A man who is already in custody is now facing charges related to a murder in central Fresno. Authorities have identified 35-year-old Michael Fitch as the suspect in the shooting death of 47-year-old Ursolo “Frank” Sermeno.
In January 2022, police responded to reports of a disturbance at an apartment located near Winery and McKinley Avenues. Upon arrival, officers discovered Sermeno unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds.
He subsequently succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, while the suspects remained at large. “Last week, we received information indicating that we obtained a DNA match linking an individual, possibly responsible for that homicide, named Michael Fitch,” stated FPD Lt. Brian Valles.
Fitch is currently in custody for a separate homicide that occurred in 2021. He is now facing additional charges of murder and home invasion. Despite these charges, detectives are urging anyone with information to reach out to the Fresno Police Department.
