Tom Morann Obituary, Death; – On Saturday, September 7, 2024, at approximately 9:00 a.m., off-highway recreational vehicle (OHRV) riders were heading south on the 13-Mile Woods Trail in Errol when they discovered the scene of a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) accident. Tragically, the male operator of the UTV was found deceased.
The riders promptly contacted 911, leading to the arrival of responders from Errol Fire, Errol Ambulance, NH Fish and Game Conservation Officers, and a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy. Investigative evidence at the site suggests that the operator, identified as Tom Morann, 60, from Middleton and Errol, NH, had been traveling at a high rate of speed while navigating a sharp left-hand turn, resulting in a loss of control that caused the UTV to roll off the trail and into a ditch.
The exact timing of the crash remains uncertain, but it is believed to have occurred the previous evening. The investigation into the crash is ongoing; however, preliminary findings indicate that Morann was not wearing a helmet and had not fastened the seat belt available in his UTV. No additional information is currently available.
