Timothy Gillitzer Obituary, Death; – The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who succumbed to injuries sustained from a fall off a boom truck during an event at the Rock County Fairgrounds over the weekend.

According to the agency, Timothy Gillitzer, aged 59, passed away due to the injuries incurred in the incident. The Milton resident was declared dead at a local hospital on Saturday, October 19.

The medical examiner reported that a forensic examination regarding Gillitzer’s death took place on Sunday, October 20, and additional testing is currently in progress.

Rock County deputies were dispatched at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Saturday following reports of two individuals who had fallen from a boom truck at the Rock County 4-H Fairgrounds in Janesville.

The incident occurred during an employee appreciation day event hosted by Rock Energy Cooperative. As per the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, the two individuals fell from a height of about 10 feet during an equipment demonstration while the boom was extended on one of the trucks.

The two individuals involved were an employee, later identified as Gillitzer, and a 62-year-old woman from Janesville. Both were transported to the Mercy Trauma Center in Janesville. While the man was pronounced dead at the hospital, the woman received medical attention for her injuries.
