Timberly Martin Obituary, Death; – A driver’s effort to prevent her vehicle from being repossessed resulted in a fatal incident when she circumvented law enforcement officers and entered a closed roadway, ultimately colliding with a tree, according to authorities in Tennessee. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has identified the driver as 51-year-old Timberly Martin.
On Monday, November 25, a tow truck was in the process of repossessing Martin’s Infiniti when she allegedly accelerated away from the scene. She is reported to have evaded two separate traffic stops before reaching a section of Briley Parkway that was closed. This closure was in effect due to crews working to clear a large fallen tree following a previous accident involving two vehicles. Despite the roadblock, Martin disregarded the warnings and drove past the officers onto the restricted area, subsequently crashing into the tree “at a high rate of speed,” as stated by police. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
