Thalia Salinas,Ruby Cruz Obituary, Death; – Five individuals lost their lives as a result of a severe vehicle collision on Friday evening in Burnet County.
According to officials from the Department of Public Safety (DPS), a pickup truck towing a livestock trailer veered into oncoming traffic on U.S. 281 near Park Road 4 at approximately 6 p.m. on July 25.
The truck collided head-on with a car, subsequently crashing into an SUV that was following behind, as reported by DPS. The impact caused the SUV to overturn and ignite, resulting in the deaths of all five occupants.
The deceased have been named as Thalia Salinas, Ruby Cruz, Brianna Valadez, Desiree Cervantez, and Jacqueline Velazco. The drivers of the other vehicles involved sustained only minor injuries. The DPS is continuing its investigation into the circumstances that led to the crash.
