Tara Gross,Dandra Byrd Obituary Death; – The Maryland State Police have confirmed the identities of the two individuals who lost their lives in a multi-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon in Prince George’s County.
Tara Gross, aged 50, from Camp Springs, and Dandra Byrd, aged 31, from Riverdale, succumbed to their injuries at the scene after their Mercedes-Benz E 300 was struck near the intersection of Route 202 and St. Joseph’s Drive at approximately 1 p.m. Gross was operating the vehicle with Byrd as her passenger.
According to investigators, a Honda Accord, operated by Tierra Johnson, aged 28, from Upper Marlboro, was traveling north on Route 202 when it collided with a curb divider, causing the vehicle to become airborne. This incident initiated a chain-reaction collision involving seven vehicles.
Five individuals were transported by ambulance to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center. Authorities have indicated that speed was a contributing factor, and charges are anticipated pending the results of the investigation.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
