Sylvia Sanchez-Martinez Obituary, Death; – The medical examiner has identified the woman who was hit and killed by a train on the West Side. The victim has been named as 62-year-old Sylvia Sanchez-Martinez by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday.
The fatal incident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. on Sunday along West Martin Street close to North Frio Street. According to police, Sanchez-Martinez was walking near the tracks and was struck while trying to retrieve an item she had dropped. She was taken to the hospital but, unfortunately, passed away en route.
