Stephen Lomax Obituary, Death; – A 41-year-old man from Henrico County has died as a result of a crash that took place on Powhite Parkway in Richmond on Saturday.
At 1:46 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, officers from the Richmond Police Department responded to the northbound lanes of Powhite Parkway, close to the Douglasdale Road exit, following reports of a single-vehicle accident.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a damaged vehicle that had collided with the guardrail on the right side of the parkway.
The driver, identified by police as 41-year-old Stephen Lomax from Henrico County, was declared dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that a woman who was a passenger in the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The Office of the Medical Examiner is tasked with determining the cause and manner of Lomax’s death. The northbound lanes of the parkway were shut down for several hours to facilitate the police investigation.
