Stephanie Palao Eduardo de Amat y Leon Obituary, Death; – A 75-year-old woman from Cambridge has been charged with careless driving resulting in death after a 34-year-old mother was struck and killed at an intersection in the city last month.
Police were summoned to the intersection of Langs Drive and Industrial Road at approximately 12:05 p.m. on November 20 following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
The 34-year-old woman who was struck was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
Friends and family have recognized the victim as Stephanie Palao Eduardo de Amat y Leon through Facebook posts, an online fundraiser for her family, and in her obituary. The 34-year-old was married and had two children.
Her obituary characterizes her as possessing a “kind and loving heart.”
The 75-year-old driver is scheduled to appear in court on February 9, 2026.
