Stephanie Campbell Obituary, Death; – Authorities have apprehended a suspect in the homicide of Stephanie Campbell, a 33-year-old resident of Beaufort, following a thorough investigation that spanned several months.

On December 17, 2024, law enforcement officials executed arrest warrants for Anthony Alfrado Brown, 41, from Saint Helena Island, charging him with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

At the time of his arrest, Brown was already in custody at the Beaufort County Detention Center facing charges related to armed robbery and weapons offenses.

Brown’s arrest is associated with an incident that occurred on August 21, 2024, when deputies responded to an armed robbery at a Circle K store on Lady’s Island shortly before 2 a.m. The suspect allegedly brandished a firearm, demanded cash, and fled the scene with both money and merchandise.

Authorities identified Brown as the perpetrator and subsequently linked him to Campbell’s murder. Hours after the robbery, at approximately 9:15 a.m., deputies found Campbell’s body on Langford Road on Saint Helena Island, where she had sustained a gunshot wound.

Investigators established a connection between Brown and Campbell, indicating that he was among the last individuals to have seen her alive. As a result, investigators obtained arrest warrants for Brown in relation to Campbell’s murder.
