Shiquira Maniel Obituary, Death; – A woman lost her life in a residential fire in Vicksburg. The incident took place in the 700 block of Mattingly Street shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9. Vicksburg Fire Chief Derrick Stamps reported that upon arrival, emergency crews observed flames and smoke emanating from the residence.
Chief Stamps indicated that the fire was brought under control, and firefighters subsequently discovered the 31-year-old victim, identified as Shiquira Maniel, in a bathtub. Fortunately, another individual managed to escape the house unharmed. The investigation into the cause of the fire is currently ongoing.
